Samsung has confirmed that its flagship Galaxy S III will hit the US and Canada on June 20. The interesting thing is, Galaxy SIII won't come with a quad-core Exynos processor in Canada. The Canadian Galaxy SIII will come with North American LTE friendly dual-core Qualcomm S4 processor. The phone will also hold 2GB RAM, and will support the country's major wireless providers.

Intel is planning to add enhanced connectivity features to its Ultrabooks and tablets that would give its users automatic access to free Wi-Fi hotspots worldwide. Recently, Intel and Devicescape has completed a deal to implement this feature on ultrabooks and tablets. By using Devicescape's Wi-Fi management tool Intel users will be able to automatically connect their Ultrabooks or tablets to open Wi-Fi hotspots. The technique, dubbed as Intel's Smart Connect Technology, will support automatic update of e-mail, Facebook, Twitter and other apps by using Devicescape's Curated Virtual Network (CVN), even when the device is in sleep mode.

The Intel owned security giant McAfee has published a study report about security lacking in personal computers worldwide. The report is the result of an study conducted on 28 million computers in 24 countries. The report says that globally 17 percent of PC users don't use any protection against viruses, worms, spywares or malwares. These users either don't use any security solutions or they have disabled installed security software. The report also estimates that 27% of digital files stored in these machines would be impossible to restore at all if lost, with an approximate average value is $10,014.

The Swiss solar-powered aircraft, Solar Impulse, has successfully completed the first step of its planned flight from Switzerland to Madrid. The Solar Impulse took off Thursday from Payerne, Switzerland and on Friday, without using a single drop of fuel, the plane finished its first leg of intercontinental flight in Madrid. The second leg toward Morocco was planned to be continued by another pilot after a three day stop over.
